The interiors balance warmth and craftsmanship with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. From the street, guests catch glimpses of the brass bar gantry, drawing them inside to interiors defined by plush textures, deep timber tones, and warm, soft lighting.
Layered details appear throughout, from bespoke furniture and reclaimed lighting to decorative wall finishes and Persian stained glass elements that build depth and character.
The ceilings feature bespoke artworks inspired by Kama Sutra imagery, drawing on Persian miniature paintings held within the Wellcome Collection. Hand-rendered across the ceiling, the works introduce a narrative layer while referencing the tradition of illustrated manuscripts.
Craftsmanship plays a central role in the project. Much of the decorative work throughout the restaurant was created by first- and second-generation female artisans, including mosaicists who hand-laid the marble mosaic floors in the bathrooms, as well as carpet specialists, bringing a deeply personal layer of making to the interiors.
